PleadSmart · Judgments

The judgment itself. Not a summary of it.

Enter a case name or a citation and get the judgment document, from the Supreme Court and all 25 High Courts.

The problem

A headnote is not a judgment. When the point turns on a paragraph, you need the paragraph — and the copy you can put in front of a court.

By name or citation

Either works

Type the case name if that is what you remember, or the citation string if that is what you have. Judgments resolves either one to the same document.

The full document

Read it page by page, in a side panel

A page thumbnail strip on the left, the page itself on the right. Move through the judgment the way you would with the physical copy, without leaving the matter you opened it from.

Read beside your work

Inside the workspace, not beside it

Open the judgment inside PleadSmart, next to the matter you are working on — no separate portal, no second login, no second window.

Coverage

Supreme Court and all 25 High Courts

Coverage runs across every High Court, not a subset of the busier ones, so which bench decided a case is not a reason the judgment might be missing.

Limits

What it does not do.

These are the limits as they stand today. If one of them is a problem for the way you work, it is better to know before the evaluation than during it.

It does not read the judgment for you

A judgment you open here is a document you read. It is not fed into the assistant's context or summarised on your behalf. Reading the judgment stays your work.

It does not find cases for you

That is Case Law. Judgments opens a document once you already know which one you want.

It does not cover district court or tribunal orders

Coverage is the Supreme Court and the High Courts. Orders from district courts and tribunals sit outside it.

Open the judgment, not a summary of it.
